Dr. Hilmar Farid was assigned as a Director Jenderal of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2015. He was born in Bonn, Germany. He was graduated from National University of Singapore in 2014. Has gets involved in several activities such as an editor for Asian Regional Exchange for New Alternatives (ARENA) dan Inter-Asia Cultural Studies Society and an activist of Relawan Penggerak Jakarta Baru (a volunteer for new Jakarta movement). He is also an author.
Prof. Dr. Mikihiro Moriyama is Professor of Indonesian Studies and Global Liberal Studies at Nanzan University, Japan. He is the author of Sundanese Print Culture and Modernity in 19th-Century West Java(2005)/ Semangat Baru: Kolonialisme, Budaya Cetak, dan Kesastraan Sunda Abad ke-19 (2005) and co-editor of Words in Motion: Language and Discourse in Post-New Order Indonesia (2012)/ Geliat Bahasa Selalas Zaman: Perubahan Bahasa-bahasa di Indonesia Pasca-Orde Baru (2010). His interests are in language and literature in Indonesia, especially in Sundanese speaking area since the time of the Dutch East Indies. He tries to explore people’s consciousness and perception of language and texts in both Sundanese and Indonesian. He has also written essays on contemporary Indonesian literature, and translated Indonesian literary works such as Putu Wijaya, Seno Gumira Ajidarma and Oka Rusmini in Japanese.
Prof. Dr. Hywel Coleman is a member of Honorary Senior Research Fellow, School of Education, University of Leeds, UK and Trustee, Language and Development Conference Series. He came from the UK originally but he has lived and worked in Indonesia for many years and he holds a Permanent Residence Certificate. His research focuses on Indonesian language, culture and education, language and development, language planning and policy, particularly in the fields of education and especially in developing countries, and language and work. Apart from Indonesia and the UK, He has also undertaken research, professional development programmes and other professional and academic activities in almost 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Dr. Katrin Bandel is a German born scholar. She is currently a lecturer at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. She has published and edited books, research-based articles, and opinion papers on literature and culture in journals, newspapers, and magazines. Her latest publication was Kajian Gender dalam Konteks Pascakolonial, published by Sanata Dharma University Press, Yogyakarta in 2016.
Dr. Yulianeta, M.Pd. obtained her doctoral degree at the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Language and Literature Education, Indonesia University of Education, Bandung, Indonesia. Her interests are in the study of literature, literature education, comparative literature, culture, and women's studies. Her works were published in the Journal of Education, Journal of Language and Literature, Pelantra, Leksika, Metasastra, Adabiyyat, Articulation, Literary Studies in the Theory Perspective Contemporary. Her research interest are learning language and literature, women in the public sector, gender and politics. She joins SEASREP and Southeast Asian Studies, Green Literature and Ecofeminism. Dr. Fazri Nur Yusuf, S.Pd, M.Pd. is currently a faculty member of Department of English Education, Faculty of Languages and Literature Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), FPBS Building 1st Floor, Jl. Dr. Setiabudi no.229, Bandung, Indonesia. His research interests are teacher education especially pre-service teacher training, EFL methodology for children and adults, and curriculum and instructions especially instructional design and instructional technology. Yanty Wirza, M.Pd., Ph.D. is a lecturer at English Education Study Program at Indonesia University of Education where she got her Bachelor and Master's degree. She furthered her study at Foreign, Second, and Multilingual Language Education, Department of Teaching and Learning, at The Ohio State University for her second Master's degree and a PhD. Her research interests include Literacy Education, Second Language Acquisition, TESOL, Teacher Education and Professional Development, Non-native English Speakers of English; ESL/EFL Composition, Qualitative Research, and Narrative Inquiry Research. She has presented at various conferences both in US and Indonesia. She has been awarded several scholarships: Fulbright Presidential Scholarship, AICEF (America-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Foundation), Harry Moores Scholarship, Charles R. Hancock Graduate Scholarship for Urban Education, as well as Leona Rolfes and Ernest Michael Heldt Memorial Scholarship Fund. In service she was fortunate to have received Gloria Anzaldua Award, Carl Odden Award, and Notable Gradaute Leadership Award for her roles in advocating for Muslims and international students at OSU and Columbus greater areas.
