Prof. Dr. Dadang Sudana is a Professor of Linguistics at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, with expertise in language acquisition, morphology, semantics, and semiotics. He earned his Ph.D. in Linguistics from Deakin University in 2006, an M.A. in TESOL from the University of Canberra in 1994, and a B.Ed. in English Education from IKIP Bandung in 1989. His research spans morphology, semantics, corpus linguistics, and discourse analysis, reflected in his internationally published works, including articles in International Journal of Language Education and Theory and Practice in Language Studies. Notable publications address topics such as the teaching implications of morphological meaning construction, forensic linguistic analysis of hate speech on Indonesian social media, and the legal impact of cyberbullying in ethnicity, religion, race, and primordial issues.
Dr. Azhar Ibrahim is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Malay Studies, National University of Singapore (NUS), specializing in Malay intellectual thought, Islamic studies, and Southeast Asian culture. He holds a Ph.D. in Malay Studies from NUS and has completed postdoctoral research at the University of Copenhagen and a visiting scholarship at Stanford University. His work has earned multiple accolades, including Singapore’s National Day Commendation Medal (2021) and the MASTERA Southeast Asian Literary Council award (2016) for his book Cendekiawan Melayu Penyuluh Emansipasi. Dr. Azhar has led and collaborated on significant research projects on Islamic studies graduates’ roles in Singapore’s plural society and shared Southeast Asian cultural values with Universitas Indonesia. Beyond academia, he actively serves as Vice-Chairman of the Malay Heritage Foundation, Chairman of the Oral History Project for Singapore’s Malay Community, and consultant for the National Library Board’s Malay Book Collection and Programmes.
Dr. Ju Seong Lee is an Associate Professor and Acting Head of Department, renowned for his research in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and Informal Digital Learning of English (IDLE). His work focuses on designing AI-enhanced learning tools, integrating emerging technologies such as AI and the metaverse into language education, and developing scalable solutions to support underserved communities. Dr. Lee’s impactful research has been widely published in leading journals including RELC Journal, ReCALL, Computers and Education: Artificial Intelligence, and Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development. He serves as Associate Editor for Innovation in Language Learning and Teaching and The Journal of AsiaTEFL, and is on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals. Recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists in Languages and Linguistics by Stanford University (2023, 2024), Dr. Lee has also received multiple awards for research excellence and academic contributions.
